The Robert Marti Memorial Movement’s mission is to improve the lives of those in need by collecting and distributing clothing, toiletries, food and other daily necessities to improve their quality of life.
Robert Marti was born in 1959 in Puerto Rico. He relocated to Newport News, Virginia when he was 17 years old and married his soulmate, Donna. They went on to have one child, Teresita. As a Type 1 Diabetic since the age of 12, Robert endured significant medical complications throughout his life. Robert was the first to help anyone in need and always made it a point to give back to the community. Robert’s courageous journey ended in 2008, and Teresita vowed to honor his memory with her volunteer efforts. The Robert Marti Memorial Movement was founded in 2025 to honor Robert’s legacy.
